Southeastern Plant Symposium

2025 Southeastern Plant Symposium

Started as a joint venture between Juniper Level Botanic Garden and the JC Raulston Arboretum in 2019, the Southeastern Plant Symposium strives to be the must attend event for plant lovers. The symposium rotates between a focus on woody plants one year and herbaceous perennials the next.

About the Event​

Join fellow plantaholics and horticulturists to rethink and reinvigorate modern landscapes. We’re talking plants outside our backdoors to plants around the world, low input but high impact performers, super-functional and beautiful, native to rare and unusual. Do not miss this two-day deep dive into what’s new and exciting in the plant world.

Network with nurserymen, garden designers and fellow plant enthusiasts as you explore groundbreaking horticultural techniques and gain fresh perspectives on the plant world. With expert-led sessions and thought-provoking presentations, you’ll leave the event inspired and equipped with the knowledge to transform your landscape.

The 2025 Southeastern Plant Symposium will be two days of incredible, intense programs with a focus on woody ornamentals.

For registrants attending the symposium, Juniper Level Botanic Garden and Plant Delights Nursery will be open for visiting and shopping on Wednesday, June 11 from 8:00am to 5:00pm and Saturday, June 14, from 9:00am to 1:00pm, ET.


Advance registration is required. Registration is limited and is considered complete when payment is received.

Program cancellations can be made up to two weeks before the program’s start date. A 15% cancellation fee applies.

Can’t make it to Raleigh? Too busy in June to travel? This event will be live-streamed over Zoom and recordings of the presentations will be made available to all participants after the symposium. There’s no excuse to miss a moment of this spectacular symposium!
