For those, who watched both in person, and on-line, when our Amorphophallus titanum flowered last August, we thought we’d share it in its less impressive stage. After flowering last August, it remained completely dormant until mid-July (11 months), when this new growth stalk began to arise. It’s now hit the top of our tallest greenhouse, which is a bit problematic, but there’s not many options. We never know how long the leaf will remain growing, but our guess is that it will grow until February/March. While you never know how long it will be before we see another flower, based on the growth we’re seeing, we’d be quite surprised if it doesn’t grace us with another flower in summer 2027….pencil us in for late July/early August.
