2014 9249 Alpine bed renovation3

We’ve spent the last two weeks renovating our alpine scree berm plantings, which were originally installed in 1998.  This meant digging up virtually all the plants, adding additional compost to the soil, and then rearranging and replanting.  Here’s a new shot of the finished plantings on the inside of the bed…we love transplanting in midsummer!  There’s about 50′ remaining to be done on the outside, which we’ll be working on today during open nursery and garden.  I hope you’ll be able to drop by today from 1-5 and see how this process works.
