Seaki Some Love

One of our favorite clones of the Japanese sacred lily, Rohdea japonica is the clone Rohdea ‘Sekkei Nishiki’. The English translation of the cultivar name is “snow valley brocade”. The narrow, thick, cupped leaves are densely streaked with creamy bands, and it forms a lovely evergreen patch in the garden. Despite these attributes, it’s probably the worse selling sacred lily we’ve ever offered. Just when we think we’ve figured out customer taste, we get blindsided by a shocking lack of sales after spending over a decade building up stock. I think we need some better window cleaner for our crystal ball. Hardiness Zone 6a-10b.
