As the foliage dies down, the garden reveals all kinds of treasures like seed head on the voodoo lily, Sauromatum venosum. The seed are easy to germinate, but use gloves to handle them, since many aroids contain skin tingling compounds.

I bought some seeds for this plant in August. I’ve raised the tubers for years and love them. I received directions to plant the seeds but it had to be too late in the season to plant. When should I plant the seeds.
All aroid seed must be planted very fresh to have any chance. If you got the seed in August, I’d be surprised if they are still viable unless stored moist and cool. If you still want to try, plant them immediately.
