He’re a shot from our garden that we see every morning, featuring a drift of the giant, sun-loving Hosta ‘Sum and Substance‘…and much more.
Below is another shot from the same location in the garden, but looking north. Who said summer gardens need to be boring?
Good morning. Are the plants irrigated, or left to “Mother Nature”? In top picture, what is the tree in the center of the photo? In the bottom picture, what is the blue flowering plant to the left of center?
This section of the garden is irrigated. The blue in the bottom image is Agapanthus ‘Navy Blue’. The tree in the top photo (middle) is Zelkova serrata ‘Goshiki’…one of our favorite trees.
Rather gorgeous!
Thanks for posting views of the garden. It’s too easy to photograph individual plants and forget the bigger picture. Yes, I’m guilty of doing this.
Beautiful! Looking forward to the Fall Open Garden in September!
