As we were putting away the tender xMangaves for the winter, I took time to grab one more photo of a plant that has enchanted open house visitors this year. xMangave ‘Bridal Falls’ is a creamy edged sport of xMangave ‘Falling Waters’, developed by Walters Gardens Director of New Plant Development, Hans Hansen. This gem is in the production pipeline, but isn’t currently available. While the parent is winter hardy here in Zone 7b, the variegated foliage makes it a good bit more tender. I have never seen this variety offered in the short time that I’ve been buying mangaves from you. Will it ever be available again?
We certainly hope to have it in the future. It hasn’t been formally introduced or sold yet, but as soon as we have enough to share, we’ll list it in the catalog. It is a real beauty.
