We caught a glimpse of our Carolina anole, Naomi Gamble, slinking down the green carpet last week, posing in the latest sheer, skin-revealing, summer design from the Yves Saint Laurent spring collection. What a fashionably sly creature.

If you can establish a group of these in a greenhouse you won’t have to spray for scale or mealybug, along with just about any other insect pest. I’ve tried it and it works. Plus it’s fun to see them hanging out while making my rounds.
Love it! Gorgeous photo (and “dress”!)
Great picture! It should be entered in a contest!!
Are you sure it’s Naomi, not Nathan?
What a charming creature! I always enjoy your emails which are teaching me a lot about our natural world. Thank you!
Gorgeous! And I love the witty description.
That is hilarious! I have these little guys and gals all over the place, but never knew they shed!
I talk to mine all the time and they cock their little heads up at me and eyeball me and just sit there and listen. They seem so tame!
