Epimedium sempervirens ‘Snowshoe Lake’ is looking particularly lovely today. We haven’t offered this before, so, do you like it enough that we should propagate a few from the garden?
Snowshoe Lake is very white today
Epimedium, fairy wings, juniper level botanic garden, new plants
Yes- it’s beautiful! Hardy to zone 5?
Yes, Zone 5a
How aggressive is this plant? Some Epimediums can take over a space. If it is well behaved, it is a lovely plant.
All selections of Epimedium sempervirens are clumpers.
Wow
Yes, it looks like a very floriferous white epimedium.
Very nice! Yes, please propagate it!
Yes! I’ve had great success with yellow ones. These will be perfect with the white hellebore I’ve used as edging for azalea beds. My yellow ones bloom right after the hellebore. If the white ones do the same in zone 7b, I’ll be dancing in delight!!
