Many folks who visit JLBG have asked about former staffer, Jeremy Schmidt, who departed almost three years ago for a stint at Alabama’s Bellingrath Gardens. In the 15 years Jeremy was here, he installed our 300′ long crevice garden, our 550′ rock lined stream, several other garden streams, our dryland welcome berm, and countless other rock projects.
In a new career move, Jeremy is returning to Raleigh this fall to open his new business, designing and installing rock gardens. Not only did Jeremy design gardens at JLBG, but he has worked on installations at gardens across the country. Now, he’s focusing his career on his amazing gift of working with rocks. Jeremy will be on site July 18, 19, for our second weekend of summer open house, so you can drop by to chat with him about rock or crevice garden construction or any potential projects you may have in mind.
