Is Phyllis Fancy?

In flower this week is one of the most amazing fall-flowering sages we grow, Salvia ‘Phyllis Fancy’. This Salvia leucantha hybrid is far more winter hardy than it’s parent. Below is our two decade old clump, that looks amazing in October. The mature height and spread are 7′ tall, so be sure to allow enough room. Average to dry soils, and a sunny site are the optimum conditions. Hardiness is Zone 7b-9b.

  1. Wow, Phyllis sure is fancy! And quite spectacular! I had no idea any Salvia could grow to those dimensions. Thank you for always broadening my horizons on what exists and what is possible in a garden!
