This spring, we posted photos of the obscure Japanese native woodlander, Ainsliaea cordifolia, but we wanted to follow up with the same plant in riotous bloom, as we move into late October. There are actually 57 species of this Aster family genus, all from Southeastern Asia. Growing Ainsliaea in your home garden is certainly a strong determining factor in one’s horticultural nerdiness ranking.

For Mr Avent:
The only connection between this message and things asteraceous is that I’m seeing stars from banging my head against the wall and I don’t know what else to do. I’m very interested in joining your Belize/Guatemala trip and have been trying to reach Nancy Jane Cook for about 10 days. I must have called her 10 or 12 times, usually leaving messages, but all to no avail (though I did get one return msg). I’ve also tried calling JLBG a/w/a the main office of her company in St Louis. Is there anyone else I could contact? It seems your travel agent is completely unreachable. Thank you. Thomas Higginson
That’s odd. here email is Nancy Jane Cook. I’ll also pass your note along to her.
