Arisaema (Jack-in-the-Pulpit, Cobra Lily)

The JLBG collection includes about 85 species (including subspecies and varieties), 2 undescribed, 13 undetermined, 24 nothospecies; 579 clones

Arisaemas are a genus of aroids, related to other genera like philodendron and spathiphyllum. Arisaema go by the common names of Jack-in-the-pulpit, and cobra lily. While the leaves of many arisaema species are interesting, it is the spathe and spadix inflorescence (what is commonly referred to as the flower) that is most fascinating.  Below are some of the plants from our JLBG collection.
